DYLAN SCOTT, JORDAN POWELL & TREY MCLEMORE

It all started when…

Louisiana boys Jordan Powell and Curb Records Artist, Dylan Scott, are two buddies that live two separate lives, but share the same interests and goals. Covid 2020 brought them together in Monroe, LA at “Dirt on the Rev” where Jordan would help him park cars, grill hamburgers, pick up trash, and whatever needed to be done in order to keep the event going. Jordan was unemployed at that time due to oil field layoffs but had a newborn at home.  Neither Dylan or Jordan had trash service at their homes and were using the dumpsters in Union Parish. That is when the idea was born to buy a trailer and pick up trash for anyone who would pay for it. After a few months, the Town of Chatham reached out with a truck for sale. Jordan subsequently earned the Town of Chatham’s business and the phone kept ringing. Once that truck could not handle the workload, they bought a brand new trash truck.  And so on and so on. Five years later, they’re still picking up trash and The Trash Guys has become a well-known name in Northeast Louisiana and a generous community partner, sponsoring local schools sports teams, the Monroe Moccasins, Keep Union Beautiful, and Louisiana Cancer Foundation’s MAD Dash 5K. The guys enjoy taking their trucks to The Childrens Museum for kids to see. In 2024, Trey Mclemore came on as a partner in the commercial dumpster arm of the business, working to expand those services. The Trash Guys now run nine trucks, with its first Chatham truck retired. They currently have 26 employees and service over 10,000 homes and over 500 businesses in Northeast Louisiana.
